Business reviews

We like to take a genuine interest in your business and not just write up your scorecard. How do we do this?

  1. Firstly, if you have been in business for a few years, either as an existing client or a new client, we then analyse the results of your business over the last three years and go back even further if necessary, e.g. to compare with a previous change in business activity.
  2. Secondly, if you are starting a new business or wish to formulate new business plans we can prepare profit and cash flow forecasts for you to assess the viability of the business.
  3. We then review the key ratios of each sector of your business for profitability, return on capital and, where necessary, compare these ratios with industry or national standards.
  4. We look at the overall operation of the business and identify its strengths and weaknesses and the opportunities and threats to the business.
  5. We prepare a report, summarising the foregoing points and making recommendations, which include development of the business and succession planning, if appropriate.

BUT we do not leave you at that point. We discuss the report with you to ensure that you agree with the facts and recommendations. If necessary, we can assist you in negotiations with the bank or other lending body for loan or overdraft facilities in connection with the forecasts prepared. We also assist you in implementing any of the recommendations or find appropriate specialist advice for you.
